Haiku Heart

When in need of an escape

The Origin Story

HaikuHeart started from my need of beauty. In an increasingly sterile environment, we lose contact to the sacred side of the world, to its poetry and beauty. This website is my attempt at soothing the pain of loneliness and showing you all there's more to be discovered out there. I hope HaikuHeart will be the light coming throught the cracks of life.

Haiku

noun

a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

For me, the haiku always expressed the invisible, the barely palpable, the fine thread between reality and dream. A haiku would suggest the suggestion of an image. So out of reach and yet we know it's there. We all have a natural intuition of the ethereal. I'm just hoping to train you into accepting it.

As for me, my name is Sophie and I am a writer and film director. I may have also added some of my own poems here, just because some felt beautiful enough.
